Re: Heli evac off north walls

if i was severely injured, i would not want the risk, however minimal, of people climbing above me. I think Perry nailed it. Perhaps they could have given the waiting party a second rope to help them descend the gully.

Heli evac off north walls

We saw a heli rescue on the north walls in the area of Angels Crest this afternoon (Saturday, June 15). Does anybody know what happened? I hope the rescued party is ok.

what I take away from this fall is the importance of knotting the rope ends before rapping. Thank you for taking the time to relate what happened. We all make mistakes and sometimes those errors compound resulting in injury. I give you credit for your bravery and honesty on this forum. Your insight...

If you don't know what you don't know,...

If you aren't interested in the history or don't care you are not really a climber. Oh, and by the way the pioneers of...

Weekend partner needed-have gear and rope

hey, I am an experienced trad climber looking for a partner with a car for weekend climbing. I have a full trad rack and 60 m rope and can lead to trad 10s. I'm happiest on moderate multi-pitch climbs (snake, rambles, skywalker, exasperator etc.) or fun single pitch climbs in the bluffs, murrin or m...

McClane's book references the start location based on the old trail. Can you indicate where it is based on the new trail.
