no apologies for criticizing a route, Nate, but I *will* apologize to YOU.
sorry for peeing on you on Milk Road! Ha.
You don't want to be behind someone on those dihedrals. The wind will always get ya

apologizing to Colin Moorehead, thoughts on route developers
The owner of this site, Dave Jones, asked me to publicly apologize to Colin. I won't, and here's why. First, I never attacked Colin personally. I don't know Colin, but I'm sure he's a swell dude. I didn't even realize Sunset Strip was his route. But Colin developed a route for the public, so he shou...

Re: Milk Road needs a trundle
Pitch 7, "Cresent tower," after you finger traverse left and start up the arete, there is a large flake (about a meter long, 40cm wide and 10cm thick) that is falling out of a wide crack. It slid about two inches after barely touching it and is an obvious piece of rock to grab as it sticks out of t...

Re: Poll: Sea to Sky Gondola Proposal
Yours is the same idiotic mentality that led to Britannia Mine being the biggest source of heavy metal pollution in North America, if not the world. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Britannia_Beach,_British_Columbia) But the mine was great for the economy Britannia Beach, at least for awhile - and that...

Fog Ducker Spire Trip Report
FANTASTIC ROUTE! Better than Photophobia (longer, more sustained) but not quite on the level of New Life. 4 out of 5 stars The first pitch is definitely the money pitch. There's a bolt above the belay to prevent a factor 2, and good protection up to the next bolt, with some pretty sweet moves. I wen...

Re: Poll: Sea to Sky Gondola Proposal
As a long term Squamish Local, climber and business owner I would like to say that I am in complete favour of the Gondola. I want our town to become a Natural Attraction not just for the fit and able outdoor enthusiasts but for everyone. I can't wait to bring my Parents and Grandparents to the top ...

Re: Habrich - Life on Earth - Conditions?
We are thinking of giving LOE a try this coming weekend. Does anybody have any recent updates on approach and this route? Thanks! Adrian You can drive almost all the way to the Habrich campsite. There's a security guard up there who takes a picture of your car, but he'll let you pass. The trail to ...

Re: Sunset Strip horror show
Dirt on Millennium Falcon. I spent a day cleaning up my mess on the first three pitches of MF. In fact I scrubbed sections to a higher standard than they were originally in. cleaning loose dust becomes a little futile, you sweep it off on a section of a climb and depending on the winds it just ends...

Re: Sunset Strip horror show
I re-climbed the route today (and onsighted the rest of it). It's a nice little climb. Not enough exposure and too many ledges to be super-classic, but worth the effort. The bolts are really puzzling and inconsistent though - almost the entire climb is super-protected except pitch 2, which has a hig...

Re: Sunset Strip horror show
I'm climbing this route again tomorrow and bringing a camera. I'll post pictures of the destruction to the Mil Falcon belay ledge and the bolting insanity.
Wearing my helmet too .. just in case some of you boys hike up to the top to drop rocks on my head!
