The importance of competitive climbing.
As this is primarily a forum for outdoor climbing in Squamish I wonder how the users of this forum view the importance of competitive climbing. We need to rememder that the larger a sport or activity is the more money is involved thus enlarging the sport/activity itself. Look at any major pro sport ...

Re: Just Can't Do It needs some glue
Both ways travel off of the bolt line. One to the left, the other to the right. Both directions end up at the same slopper/jug so either way makes no difference. I believe I may have done the route travelling to the left several years ago but the right direction is much nicer. Andrew P.S. There is no...

Re: Just Can't Do It needs some glue
thesiger,
My wife and I have always used the right beta for that section. Traversing rightwards to a gaston in a corner and then back left to the good holds always seemed like the easier way.

Re: Just Can't Do It needs some glue
Both my wife and I do this route, without the hold I believe the topic of this thread is about, and the route feels 13a. The hold may be necassary for taller people but it seems for the average to shorter height climbers this hold is not used.

Re: Just Can't Do It needs some glue
Was looking at the route a couple of weekends ago and I'm not quite sure which hold you mean. The only hold I THINK could be the one you are talking about is a right hand side pull off to the right and not even used by many people. I have always used a hold further to the left and closer to the next...
