Just checked it out and found it amazing. This area feels like it was made just for me. I can warm up on the 5.8s, do a few 5.9s and then try to project a few 5.10s, and there's enough of those around that once I get better I can bump it all up a grade and still have loads of fun. I loved how divers...

Man what a fun climb! Being my first "real" (= unsupervised by a more experienced climber) multipitch, I was glad to have bolted belays at relatively comfortable stances. I also found the protection to be good. I found the crux pitch surprisingly hard for a 5.8 but that was just because I lack exper...

Area 44 has a corner with a 5.6, 5.7 and 5.8 directly next to each other. Those were my first three sport leads.

Did Otto Mattock and the 5.7 to its left. The latter has a big loose rock near the end, but it didn't come out with gentle pulling so I decided to leave it at that. Super fun routes, I'll definitely come back with the topo and try some of the other routes.

Lost: Tent poles (July 21, Chief campground)

Hi,
after camping at the Chief campground the July 21 weekend, I might have forgotten my tent poles there. They're silver poles in a black bag. Not sure if they have a brand label, but if so, it'd say "Vaude".

Would be nice if someone picked them up...
