I guess I should add to my list to get my free climbing back up to a respectable level.

My plan is to aid solo: Uncle Ben's, Strange Brew, and Cowboys and Indians in preparation for El Cap In the fall! Now that it's out there, I'll have to deliver!

Gnaraphobe was cool enough to help me get off the ground by giving me a belay on MM. That's why he's got some beers coming his way. As for the draws, they're booty.

Yeah there's a draw on the bolt that I was trying to clip when the hook blew, and one on the bolt that I lowered off.

Wow, 2 weeks has gone by since Uncle Ben's. I ended up bailing after taking a pretty good fall on the third pitch. I was clipping a bolt above the big loose flake and the hook I was on blew. Hey, thanks for asking! The Plan is for Merci Me and the first pitch of Uncle Ben's this Sunday, weather permitting. I may have to work next week so my plans may have to change. I hope not though, I need a big wall fix!

Yeah, that's the simplest plan. However, neither of them are climbers. Dragging my wife up Merci Me would pretty much guarantee me a divorce! I would be up for the idea of doing Merci Me with a partner. Anyone interested? Beers on me!

Nice report! I'm pretty stoked to get on that route! Is there much mandatory free climbing? Or can you aid through it all. I'm way more comfortable aiding than freeing when soloing. Thanks again, great pics!
