Re: Slesse - Glacier Conditions
Looks like that snow finger at the top is still guarding the start of the ramp. I know some people who enjoyed the show from Rexford!
Edit: Its already been climbed since it slid: https://www.facebook.com/groups/chilliwackmc/

Re: Slesse - Glacier Conditions
I was in the Rexford area yesterday and had a look at the pocket glacier through some binoculars. It is there and looks quite jumbled up, although, we only heard a few seracs fall over the 3 days we were there.

Re: Slesse - Glacier Conditions
I climbed the NE buttress one week ago. We saw a huge chunk come off what is left of the pocket glacier as we were about to cross over to the north side of the NE Buttress that would have obliterated us. Don't linger here! We also saw chucks falling off the North Slesse glacier, so it definitely isn...

We had a #5 and #6 camalot and the wide stuff was well protected (you need big cams for 3 of the pitches). None of the wide sections were cruxes ...

Re: Whirlwind
I climbed the first two pitches a few weeks ago but then bailed due to rain. The third pitch, 10b, looked overgrown, but the 11a variation looked clean.

Milk Road needs a trundle
Pitch 7, "Cresent tower," after you finger traverse left and start up the arete, there is a large flake (about a meter long, 40cm wide and 10cm thick) that is falling out of a wide crack. It slid about two inches after barely touching it and is an obvious piece of rock to grab as it sticks out of th...

VOC Longhike warning Sept 29th and 30th
Hello Climbers, The annual VOC instructional climbing trip will happening Sept 29th and 30th. There will be approximately 180 VOCers flocking to the moderate single pitch crags, mostly within the smoke bluffs and murrin. We know that this can be frustrating (I also hate pulling into the smoke bluffs...
