Wrinkle Rock. Gondola crags
Finished a new route on Wrinkle Rock. If you you've already been up to the top of the Gondola you'll appreciate the amount of potential this area has in store. I'm happy to have gotten in on the ground floor to areas development, and I couldn’t be happier to have gotten on this line. Isla In The Sky...

Re: structures bolted to sea cliffs
What are we looking at? What Provincial Park? Regarding Provincial Parks, most people don't know or understand the role (currently or traditionally) of Provincial Parks in BC. FYI. Parks are for People and the preservation of the recreational pursuits there in. The preservation of wilderness for the...

Re: Top Shelf topos
the best part .... "The grades are fairly consistent with similar style routes at other granite climbing areas like Yosemite or Index. If you expect these routes to feel like The Smoke Bluffs or The Forgotten Wall prepare to get schooled." Funny. I usually find route sandbagging grades by...

Re: Squamish Select Top 100
Went to do Liquid Gold this afternoon, a top 100 route, but we got chased off the end of P1 by Ravens. We didn't have the book with us, but we took a line to the left, which was most pleasant and it turns out is called Krimo Gold, and rejoins LG for the main event. So I found the name from the upda...

I was able to find the busted block at the base. You know which one it is as it's the only rock with a piton shaped rust stain along its face, and one hand polished edge.

Robin Barley. I find it best, and considerably less frustrating, to see Robin less as a climber or developer of routes and more of a force of nature. You can get upset all you want at the approaching storm, shake your fist at the clouds, even yell at the rain. But the storm -like Barely- couldn't ca...

Climb and Punishment
So I was out climbing at Penny Lane today and noticed that the piton that protected the crux of Climb and Punishment 5.10d is now gone. This isn't too surprising given that fixed pitons are a bit passe these days. What was surprising is that a bread loaf sized block of rock apparently came off the r...

New Stuff on Crag X?
Some lines recently scrubbed and bolted to the left and right of Centre Street. Curious to know what they're about. Grade, etc.
Thanks.

Re: Kingswood Condo Project above Mamquam Blind Channel
Do you really think that 300 to 400 empty condos would be so much better than a vacant lot? Do you know how many Squamish condos and townhouses are vacant already? Who is going to buy all these condos... the same imaginary people who will arrive in droves to ski at Garibaldi at Squamish? The hundre...

Re: Kingswood Condo Project above Mamquam Blind Channel
Speaking as a local who lives near the bluffs, climbs in the bluffs, goes for walks with my family in the bluffs and cares about the future of my community, my hope is that the city council of Squamish isn't made of the same bunch of witless hacks who shut this development down during the first go a...

Re: Handjammies are cheating!
Next time I'm gonna wrap my hands & wrists with bicycle innertubes and tape before climbing split beaver.. and then tell everybody that I sent it! Next time I'm going to squeeze my self into a full body black rubber unitard. This way I could climb even the hardest Apron slabs with ease. All I'd hav...
