local winter mountaineering objectives
Does anyone have any advice on some good local winter mountaineering objectives? I would like to skin up somewhere to the sub alpine, camp, then climb to bag a peak from there with a possible ski descent. I know there are millions of lines falling into this category in the sea to sky, but would like...

Re: Skywalker, 5p, 5.8
I agree 100% with bearbreeder. Plenty of good smearing and lots of no hands rests. I definately dont think P2 is harder than 5.8, with Mosquito and other 5.8's being harder.

Re: Community Forum changes - What would you like to see?
I think that losing the anominity aspect is a great idea. People should have to be accountable and stand behind what they post. This would certainly reduce the amount of slander and can only make the site better. Also, i like the monkey/primate/walking man icons. I think it is a cool idea/feature. B...

Re: Skywalker, 5p, 5.8
Thanks to Jeremy and all other who helped get this route opened. It is a fantastic moderate and exactly what Squamish needs more of. I found it to be a very fun and interesting route. We did the EPB variation at the top and found it to be super fun! 5.9 seems to be the right grade, but now looking a...

climbing afternoons and weekends
Hi, I am keen to climb any weekday afternoons and/or all day on the weekends and am looking for partners all summer. I live in Squamish and can lead 5.10- trad confidently and 5.11- sport. I have a decent rack with doubles of most finger to hand sizes. I prefer trad to sport but am flexible as I jus...

Re: Genesis Wall - Murrin Park
I climbed Genesis a couple weeks ago (before reading all the posts associated with the re-cleaning/bolt addition etc). I am just starting to lead 5.10 trad and am confident at most 10a's with 10b's being at the limit of my skill/ability. When on the small ledge below the crux I felt unsure of the st...

climbing this weekend
i am looking for a partner to climb this weekend. I lead 5.10 trad and have my own rack. I have lived in Squamish for 6 years and grew up in the sea to sky. I am also available almost all weekdays after 5pm and almost all weekends all day. I prefer to climb trad (especially longer routes) but enjoy ...
