Re: New take on an old route at Shannon Falls
The first pitch of Evaporation in the Bluffs has a pretty heavy runout off the last bolt to the anchor. Also slabby and similar to Sammy's Frog. I haven't climbed JTLS yet but hope to once I make it back up to Squamish. I suppose the appropriate course of action, in my opinion, is leave it as is, an...

Red Camalot on Freeway
I was on Freeway with a buddy earlier and took a massive whip from above the crux on the first dihedral. Hit my head and made the sound decision to retreat and go to the hospital rather than continue (I'd thought about it). I was able to retrieve all the gear except for a red Camalot and alpine draw...

Re: Pictures
Dave - That would be Crescent Dyke at the top of Milk Road... The only pitch that can hold a candle to the corners down below IMO.

Angels Crest Spring
Anyone take advantage of the dry weather these past weeks to go up Angels Crest? If so, was it dry? How long would it take to dry out after the next four or five days of rain?

Draws left at Burgers and Fries
Yesterday I forgot two draws on the anchor of Who Needs Bolts at the south end of Burgers and Fries. By the time I remembered that I had left them and gone back to get them, someone had already cleaned them. I asked all the parties climbing there (a lot) if they had grabbed them or seen them, but ap...

Someone apparently thinks that a bolt isn't necessary when there is natural protection nearby.....?

Re: Squamish Rampage Bouldering Comp.
Is it possible that the first people who were consulted gave their approval without passing it by anyone else? I think it would be irresponsible for the person who was originally asked to just say go ask someone else. Perhaps in the future, depending on the outcome here, organizers submit an event p...

Re: Squamish Rampage Bouldering Comp.
I'm going to assume that since the organizers are local, and it's appeal seems to be mostly to local climbers, that they are going to stress the importance of cleaning up after themselves and a low impact event. (Edit: see post above) I wasn't around for the Roctrip, hell I didn't even climb back th...

Re: Squamish Rampage Bouldering Comp.
Toby, not trying to be a dick, but why do you care so much about Parks and SAS approval? It seems that Joe took all the necessary steps to make this a legitimate, official event, which he already explained to you. Is it really that big a deal?

Re: Block on Sword gone?
I've climbed the Grand twice since the block fell out, once last year, and once last week. Didn't really pay attention to the block above it, but I always felt that the face crack jugs were a little suspect. By the time you get to that point though, the corner has opened back up and there are bomber...

March of the Kitchen Utensils Bop til You Drop Split Beaver Tantalus Crack Hypertension Scimitar Boogie til You Puke Pipeline If you manage to tick all those while you're here, and still cruisin for a bruisin, Public Image is the holy grail as far as I'm concerned. Re: Climb the Grand tomorrow?
Hey, I'm working in Kelowna right now, but I'm always looking to get on harder multis. My absolute limit as of last season is upper 11s but I hope to get comfortable on them this year. I'll give you a shout when I'm back if you ever need a partner.
