Loose nuts on Boiler Room.

The second and fourth nuts are loose on Boiler Room. I didn't have a wrench with me. Anybody?

Speaking of which, what size are the nuts? Imperial or metric?

And why don't people apply a small drop of blue Loctite to stop nuts from coming loose?

Best area/problems for a new boulderer?

Is there any list out there of the best Squamish problems to get started?

Seems the V0s are pretty varied in terms of their difficulty.

What area has the highest concentration of easier problems?

Thanks.

For the old dogs: Eric Weinstein.

Do any of Eric's old climbing partners frequent the board? My girlfriend (Sara) is his niece. I've heard lots about Eric from Sara, her mom (Stella - Eric's sister and my mother-in-law, for all practical purposes), and Eric's parents (Ed and Martha). I also know of him through the many routes he est...

Re: Cougar Crag?

Brilliant! Thanks.

Given the current weather and forecast, and the two weeks that have passed, what do you figure are the chances Cougar will be climable this weekend?

Cougar Crag?

Anybody been up there yet this year? What sort of shape is it in? How high is the water level?

Is there an topo available yet, or any updates on the routes?

Thanks!

UE or AC?

We're looking to get on one this weekend (along with all the other city yuppies trying to get in one more day before the winter deluge begins).

I've heard they're both good, but which is better?

Which gets less traffic (if that's even realistic)?

Which is most likely to be dry?

Brilliant! Thanks! What is this Whistler rock climbs that you speak of: a website, or an actual topo that's available? I poked around and couldn't find anything. It sounds pretty straight forward from your description, though. Grabbed the topo for Chuck-Chuck. Do you need a 4X4, or just something wi...

Thanks for the quick responses. Much appreciated.

Sadly, she's not super keen on exposure, so multi-pitches are out.

There aren't any topos for Cal-Cheak, eh?

Best moderate-grade sport area?

Where's the best place (outdoors) to take someone who climbs 5.8/5.9 sport, other than the obvious areas at Cheak (Well of Souls, Rouges, Conroy's)?
