Can the start of AC be safely approached by traversing along the base from the Sheriff's Badge?

Re: Kids Zone: Call to Diggers

I agree with the above comments. I stopped by this area when I took my 2 year old out for his first day climbing this season. What kids need is a flat safe area to play while waiting, relatively steep terrain to make lowering possible, obvious positive holds, and easy top-rope access. This kids area...

I checked out a couple new climbs on the left of Krack rock yesterday. Any topos of the new stuff? I found the steep dihedral crack up from the ledge to be quite fun (5.10b/c?)

Re: Starter trad rack for Squamish?

I can buy three to four other cams (non-Omega) that cover the same total range, weigh less Not true, especially the small sizes #0.5 Link cam: 13.5mm-35mm, 95g #0.5 C4: 20-33mm, 97g But I agree they are subject to misuse/over-use, so maybe it's not the best recommendation for a starter rack, and de...

Re: Starter trad rack for Squamish?

A good starter rack would be one of each Helium Friend from 0.0 to 3.5 set of nuts biners and dyneema slings to build 8 trad draws 4 double shoulder length slings 6 locking carabiners Eventually you'll probably want to double up on some of the smaller cams, and get some bigger cams. But the above ra...

Interesting name: Flex Capacitor ... with a picture of a Flux Capacitor on the topo? Is it flexy?

Looks super fun.

Re: Birds of Prey - loose block status

Crazy to think I climbed right past that without noticing it was loose. Thanks for the efforts guys. Did I see chalk on the flake? Was it in a place where you would pull on it to get up?

Re: Birds of Prey - loose block status

I climbed the route 2 weeks ago, but didn't notice any loose blocks. Maybe it was there, but if it was it wasn't too obvious.

I climbed this 2 weeks ago. Overall, I thought it was very enjoyable. It was quite busy, there were 2 slow parties ahead of us on Wire Tap. I ended up doing the first pitch of Hearsay to avoind some topropers on Wiretap, then on to P2-P5 of Wire Tap. Thanks for the work. The bolts had been removed o...

Climbed this on Saturday. Found the stone tablet with the topo at the base next to a dog. Great addition, much better than the original jungle tree start! It was quite dusty still, I think it will get much better after a good rain or two. Also did Start from Scratch since it was visible and looked c...
