Thanks.
The Franklin is more than I'd like to spend, and probably bigger than I'd like but I appreciate the input.

Watched Marty and Gary on J.S.'s new route.
Way harder for anyone Marty's height or shorter.
(I'm guessing 5'9" or 5'10" and shorter)

When it finally went, it didn't feel too bad. I know this is usually the case with redpoints, so I guess the truth is I really don't know. Also, remember, I felt "Just Can't Do It" felt harder than you did. The two routes are so different in style it's hard to compare. I also think the way Marty has...

Crah pad help?

I'm finally going to break down and start bouldering.
So my question is: What is the best crash pad (for the money) to get?

I used slightly different foot work and thought "Mike's Link 2" felt like 12b

Thought J.S.'s new one was about the same.

Thanks again Marty.
Just to let you all know, Marty put in all the hard work, then let me finish it so he could take the red tag off and open it for everyone.
Very Cool.

Same goes for Marc and "Just Can't Do It"

I think guide books should give credit to the route establishers as well as the f.a.'s.

What I am saying is that it seems as though to "Climbing" (perhaps a reflexion of the climbing community as a whole) it is o.k. to manufacture a route if it makes it a better yet harder route, but not o.k. if it makes a route better although easier. Is this just another extension of the "elitist" at...

Let's get things going!

Was reading an article about Scott Miltons ascent of "Shock and Awe" at Smith. The article was in Climbing Magazine's on-line site. They mentioned that the route has a number of filled-in and flattened natural holds but ,at least the way I read it, it was o.k. since the line is so good. So my questi...

I don't think it's a big deal.
Especially in Squamish where it rains so much.
