Skaha Parking Lot?
Does anybody know if the Skaha parking lot is open? The BC Parks website says from March 2nd that it's still closed due to snow. I'm heading there next week so any help would be great.

Can someone get these robots out of the message boards? They seem to have infected the place.

Re: Starvation Lake Crag
I climbed here last summer and it's a great sunny spot with a shady base. Fun long routes with a sporty feel on interesting reddish rock that is quite different from the typical granite you find in the rest of Squamish. Finding the way down from the hwy pullout to the Sea to Sky Tail is a bit tricky...

Re: New Crag " The Playground"
That is too bad, great work on the crag. I don't know what anyone would want with a 10m piece of old rope and four well used biners.

Re: New Crag " The Playground"
I pulled your fixed rope up to the top of the crag and coiled it up on a ledge so it wouldn't be in the way while our kids were climbing. It is still fixed to the two draws at the anchor. I don't know anything about the other two missing draws, but the anchors of No Tag Backs had no biners on Saturd...

Re: New Crag " The Playground"
Climbed here today with the kids. 5.4s on the left, 5.11s on the right, and everything in between. Partial shade / sun, easy approach, flat base, super fun steep sports climbing. Recommend 100%. I haven't z-clipped in a while, but it's possible here.

Re: Crag just north of the radio tower in the Bluffs
I've climbed there a few times, routes are fun but a bit short, good range of grades up to 5.11, mix of sport and trad. Last time I was there things were starting to turn a bit green, but all still very climbable. All top-ropeable with easy access to the anchors. Sunny and south-facing, fast-drying,...

Nanaimo
Hey anyone think there might be some dry rock in Nanaimo next week? I haven't climbed there before, but the Nanaimo River or maybe Witchcraft Lake look like they could dry quickly.

Re: Elitist climber writes article of self congratulation.
Good stuff Stu. But I never got the pronunciation of the Quercus crag. I always said it like it sounds, when referring to trees of the Oaken variety by their Latin names. But maybe I'm not elitist enough to get the inside joke? Maybe some day I will be. Still no repeats of The Roarke Building? Crypt...

Re: Your shoe Rubber opinion wanted here!
I got my Katanas re-soled at Marcello's a couple of months ago and they were great. My first route after the re-sole was One Scoop with Delicious Dimples, and I didn't notice any weird feel or break-in period at all, which I expected to have from previous re-sole experiences (Gold Star, etc). They f...
