Re: Easy 5.10?

Yeah, I agree with the above. Easiest crack 10s I know of are Out to Lunge, Nubile Woman and Split Decision. The 10a crack on Hairpin is pretty soft, but that might be offset by the hard 5.9 that follows. Jabberwocky is soft too, but the V0 entry problem can stump the short. There's a great thread o...

Hypertension, depending on knee size.

Tantalus Crack looks great for it, but I haven't been up it to confirm.

Lost yellow Mastercam at Campground Wall or Sugarloaf.

Just realized it isn't on my partner's rack. Marked with green nail polish.

Could have been at the base of Rainy Day Dream Away, Sunshine Chimney or Thriller Off the Void at Sugarloaf.

If you find it please let me know, I'll trade a day of being your belay slave or rope gun.

Re: Jingus the Cat - Rescrubbed and Dug-Out

I was wondering if the anchor was set up for the 5.12, seems convoluted to traverse over left, why not go up corner a bit further? I'm guessing this is in the interest of utilizing a ledge to stand on and avoid a hanging belay? I can't really picture the second pitch at the moment. Thanks for movin...

Re: Eric Weinstein

EW definitely had an eye for plum lines, his tick list is hilariously classic.

Weird to see Tami Knight describe Rainy Day Dream Away as a moss-fest - when is the last time that route was mossy?

Jingus the Cat - Rescrubbed and Dug-Out

We dug out the base of Jingus the Cat over the spring, as it helped sustain a grove of prickle-bushes that made the start quite nasty and seemed to discourage traffic, leading it to being overgrown. Re: loose rock on skywalker

There was a big loose flake on p4 of Diedre yesterday too perched 25ft above the belayer. It moved when I grabbed it. TBH I don't climb Diedre that often, so maybe it's a known quantity that always shifts like that but won't be budged - but I thought I should mention it if there are trundlers about ...

Lost: Pair of Sunglasses at base of Thriller off the Void

Yeah, I feel like I left these at the crag yesterday by accident. They're pink and orange and I like them a lot more than my back-ups, please let me know if you find them!

Re: 5.10 crack testpieces

Wanted to resurrect this thread. Since its inception it's been a source of inspiration for me in my quest to become a competent all-rounder 5.10 crack climber, particularly t-bone's post. Thought I'd offer my 2 cents for some 5.10 cracks that I felt real accomplishments for completing, or routes tha...

Auto-blocking, a cheap and light version of the Gri-Gri that you can rapell with and use like an ATC Guide/Reverso. Never used, still in original packaging. I bought a wh...

The second bolt from the top on Dreams of Passion (Ronin's Corner) needs replacing - the bolt is spinning in its hole, even when fully tightened.

I found a cam at the base of Rainy Day Dream Away with writing on the sling. PM me with a description.
