Re: Wonderland Trail Crag?

I always called it Ripple Rock - thought i got that name from a guide book too. Someone cleaned the heck out of the bottom 20' a few years ago and we jumped on a few routes. Good stuff, Mixed climbing. 3 minute approach from a non defined parking lot just let it moss on over ;)

Re: Fixed Binos on Waterfront Trail

Many thanks for installing those binoculars, I've used them many times and it's a real crowd pleaser for everyone, climber or not. I once recognized a buddy cruxing/runout on the apron so I did the only thing a friend would do.. speed texted and called him my first thought with this one is to contac...

stooges slab gives you 60 meters of a good mix of climbing. Great ledge at the bottom for transitions as well.

Re: New Trad crag "at" Murrin Park, Down amongst the Cedars

Great job on this serious undertaking! Started on woman up and mechanical advantage; both deserve a few stars and felt high in the grades. We then top roped feeding the rat and lost and found, again both are excellent climbs and will get the proper send in the future. We didn't encounter any Mosquit...

New Life danger rock

Final pitch of new life has a loose shoe box sized hold about to come off. Someone previous to me marked it with an X and a very sad face, thank you.

Re: Squamish Cracking down on Climbers free camping spots

I ran into the person who was kicked out of an apartment in Valley cliff as well. Far from climbers just local young kids without jobs/hobbies/parents/friends that keep them out of trouble. It was the same group that caused the issue last fall, they were camped on the west side on the river bed. Def...

Re: restaurants and cost

So the servers here have to tip out a percentage of the total bill to cooks, bartenders and dishwashers... so if you don't tip it actually costs the server money to serve you, unless you count the 8 dollars an hour they make. I'm not a server or a big tipper but a dollar on forty is kinda embarassing.

So I'll just comment on what else besides climbing draws you to Squamish... I've been Living here for a year now and am completely amazed everyday that I see our surroundings. We do live in paradise - just about the only thing Squamish doesn't have is waves for surfing. What we have: - Brand new 4 l...
