Re: I got bit by the Mouse's Tooth: A Lesson in Sketch

Nice story Jesse! I wouldn't exactly call you a sport twinkie... :P rather the opposite. I had been wondering about the Mouse's anchors, so, knowing you, I'm gonna take your word for it

Re: Nervous Ticks (sic)

Superb bit of writing! "Limn"?!!! I had to look that one up, not being a native speaker. Love the word, will do my best to use it in a sentence when I see someone ticking

Re: New Fixed Chain on Broadway

Relic: chill dude, it ain't a spelling contest here, and even retards are allowed to have (misguided) opinions :P Also, can the bloody thing be chopped without leaving huge scars? For some reason, history has shown that people like hanging ropes or chains in that section. Last thing we need is multi...

Re: Fred Beckey and Climbing Mag. put Angel's Crest as his f

Nice portrait. I bumped into Becky last year at Shannon Falls. He was making his way up Klahanie crack. As a fellow Fred, I asked for a picture but he politely declined. Last November (I think), he gave a presentation at UBC that was well attended.

Nice job guys!
I couldn't care less if you used 5 or maybe even 6 bolts
Similarly I'm not sure how historic this effort is, but I'll buy you beer when I bump into you anyways

Re: Right Wing - bolts are back

I climbed Right Wing Tuesday. That beast of a route does not feel like 10c or 10d. The first wet streak was not annoying though before getting on the route, we were wondering why the first 3 bolts were so close to each other. Once we got on it, every bolt placement made total sense. Whoever does the...

Re: Right Wing - bolts are back

Man, I'm dying to try this route... and just now I burned my car's clutch and have trouble nailing down a date with a partner that has a car or can climb this thing... grrrr

I think we need more details here. That couple better post on this thread and come up with an epic and raunchy report

Re: Here we go again (Squamish Gondola proposal)

I think the argument that people pass through Squamish, on their way to Whistler, is a really strong one. I love Squamish myself, go there often, stay in Squamish etc but most people don't. A gondola is indeed not going to change that. And I fail to see people that are less able or less comfortable ...

Re: Props to route developers

Same here. Awesome work, simply loved Skywalker and showing it to all my friends. Each time there are multiple parties on it! Can't express how much I appreciate the work of the developers!

Re: Skywalker, 5p, 5.8

This route is the bomb!!! Weird indeed that all the other Kits bitches are on Skywalker instead of on Deirdre.. Anyhow, we climbed it today, waved furiously at Jeremy F, caused a traffic jam with 5 or 6 people behind us, and connected to our spirit animals while doing Skywalker. Andrew, my belay b%$...

Re: May Long Weekend - Where's everyone climbing

Traffic Jams on Deirdre today, might be best to hit some of the crags in the bluffs that saw some recent development in the back... really great new stuff out there, of which some could use some traffic

Re: Climbing advice for a beginner

Hi Pat,
You could also join the Squamish climbing and scrambling group. They go out every week, you'll meet fellow climbers of all levels and have a very social/cheap/safe way to learn the ropes.
