Arc'teryx Climbing Academy July 14-17 2016
The folks at the Arc'teryx Climbing Academy got in touch with me to let me know this year's festival is coming together very nicely. I looked at the speaker lineup, films, clinics and extracurricular activities and it looks like a super fun time. This is a great chance to hear from local powerhouse ...

New climbers campground before council
Received this message from John Harvey. A turnout of climbers at council will help push this along. The Mamquam River Access Society (MRAS) is rezoning industrial lands in Squamish to allow building a non-profit campground beside the beautiful Mamquam River. The Rezoning Public Hearing is next Tues,...

Thefts from Parking Lots - an informal survey
Hi, The latest theft at Star Chek sucks beyond words. Imagine these new parents getting their truck stolen and losing their passports and their climbing and camping gear. It doesn't seem to matter how well you hide your stuff, your car is a sitting duck to low life thieves patrolling the Sea to Sky ...

Re: Missing Person: Climber
Hi Squamish Climbers, I am putting this post back at the top in the hopes someone may remember climbing with Avichai. I searched the forum and in 2013 there was a climber from Israel by the user name ahiav looking for climbing partners. I think this could have been Avichai. On his trip this time aro...

Hi Carl,
According to the information on the Arc'teryx Climbing Academy page about the clinics you should receive confirmation from Canada West Mountain School once you registered. They can also answer any questions you may have.

Re: Crowds during Mountain Festival
I can add some thoughts on this. The amount of climbing at Squamish is huge. The classics can have lineups most weekends and even weekdays during the summer. This applies if it's Mountain Festival weekend or not. So the conventional wisdom is if you want to climb some of the classic lines, especiall...

Didn't clue-in right away but these were shot by a drone, interesting. Good clarity on the camera.
Let's see some more drone shots from others.
