Re: Heads up: forum upgrade Sunday am

I need to look into this to find the answers to some of these questions. Making the colours of read posts bolder should be doable. There is a link from the board index to view new posts and unread posts. You should find this link near the top left of the page. Avatar settings occurs in the user pane...

Cool Video - Doing it all in a day in Squamish

Came across this well done video: 24 Hours of Squamish Radness where Ryan Bougie and Jamie Bond check off nearly all the cool things there are to do in the adventure capital of Canada by: climbing Mt Garabaldi, mountain biking , river kayaking, kiteboarding and summiting the Chief all in one day. 0j...

Re: Don't Steal Draws

Marc, Too bad about your draws. I hope you get them back. How some people think it's okay to take draws from a climb beats me, if they think it's booty, they have a misconstrued idea of what booty is. What happened to you reminded me of an extreme example of someone stealing draws at Smith. Take a l...

Re: CASBC 2010 Annual Report Posted - Gravel Pit for sale

I'm a little surprised by the muted response to this news as well. You made a good point that the other side has a casino. It would be nice keep the Bullethead side clear of commercial development -- as it is a gravel pit is not the most aesthetic thing to look down on. I think it was Ander's who sa...

Re: squamish conditions?

You probably already looked at the webcam image (Yes, the Squamish town centre webcam from the Adventure Centre has been out since October).

It looks a little frosty this morning.

Re: Vancouver to Squamish February 24th

Iane,

Good luck finding a ride. Don't know if you are visiting from out of town, but in case you don't know Pacific Coach Lines will drop you off in Squamish. As for cheap places, I know the Hostel is popular and you could also look into August Jack Motor Inn.

Cheers,

Heads up: forum upgrade Sunday am

We're going to upgrade the forum February 20/11. While most settings including pswds and usernames will not change you will notice a different look and great improvements.

Thanks

Hi AJ, You picked a great time to come - August usually has the best stretch of weather. You could easily spend a whole month at Squamish and still leave many classics unchecked from the list. If you were going to go somewhere else as well I would recommend going to the Bugaboos, but to do more in a...

Many of you guys are missing the point and haven't addressed the issue that non-climbers are likely to use this via ferrata. Granted, I haven't seen it, but I believe it is easily accessible to hikers. Given that Parks has posted a sign indicates they are concerned of the safety of the thing, but th...

I am guessing that Robin Barley is removing the hangers and anchors from the climbs he put up in the Smoke Bluffs as a result of the position the Squamish Access Society has taken on the issue of staples, modified glue-in Fixe bolts and non-redundant fixed anchors. I posted this announcement earlier...

I received this update from the Smoke Bluffs Park advisory committee. Climbers please note: Robin Barley advises that he is removing all his climbs from the Bluffs. At this time hangers and anchors have been removed from his climbs at Bug house ,Funorama and Pink Cliff . The bolts have not been chop...
