Re: preview of (re)new route at Shannon
Jeremy, Wow, sorry to hear about the route/trail cleaning induced injury. I second the sending of best wishes for a quick and complete recovery. It goes without saying that your efforts to create great routes that benefit all those that climb at Squamish are much appreciated. Don't worry I'm sure th...

Check out these older posts http://squamishclimbing.com/squamish_climbing_bb/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2181&p=10908&hilit=capilano#p10908 - seems like it's quite dirty and receives relatively little traffic. You might do better checking out Sully's Hangout, Cypress Falls or Light House Park. If you go let...

Re: Eldred Valley Adopt a Keg
Thanks for posting the info dirty. Adopting a keg sounds a bit more involved than adopting a crag, what happens first? Any chance you could post some pictures? It might help to fire the stoke and get some Squamish climbers up there to help out. I hear there is a lot of untouched granite in that vall...

Mt Habrich sure looks like a nice alpine climb. Want to get up there this summer. Local guide Jia Condon is this video.

Best new routes / crags in last two years
I was just looking over the new and retro'd climbs posted in this thread over the last two years and it's quite an impressive list. There are also a lot of new climbs not even mentioned on this forum. In an email the other day, Kevin McLane said that there are nearly 450 new climbs since the 2005 gu...

Sonnie Trotter auctioning off a day of private climbing
Sonnie Trotter's latest blog post has a great description of what it mean's to be part of the climbing community and the responsibility that goes with it. Community is a funny thing. Many of my climbing friends are tough, resilient, island like creatures. We go about our days often on our own, somet...

Interesting YouTube video: High Art on the Split Pillar
Came across this the other day. Quite a different take on climbing the Split Pillar - Climbing really can be an art when taken to the level of modern dance. It's also cool as it looks like Julia Barrick-Taff climbs it in bare feet.

Re: Any info on the route New Life
Some info gathered from the forum and pasted below New Life (Lower North wall)- A major Hair cut and bolts. All stations are now bolted with chains, and there is 2 new protection bolts on pitch 3 and 4 which allows linking without rope drag. I got the nod from JM and TMc before drilling. Awesome rou...

Take a look at this thread: squam west side of river. Interesting discussion of the climbs across the river.

New site feedback / how is page load time
Ironing out bugs on the new site is ongoing. I've heard from several people that page loading time is slow. I'm not experiencing significant slowdowns. I find the home page a little slower to load the twitter feed and the slide show. I'm trying this on a Window 7 machine and IE 8 as well as Chrome, ...

Anders,
What browser and version are you using IE7? Firefox? Please speak up if anybody else is noticing a big slow down. I'll look into this.
As for the pictures of Yosemite Pinnacle Left Side -- I'd like to see some. Can you post them here?

Re: Pet Wall closed till 5th of April
I received word from the Smoke Bluff Park Advisory Committee that the remains of the set (fake rock pieces) left in Smoke Blufffs are now gone. Apparently they were to be used elsewhere and that's why they were not hauled away with the rest of the trash.
