Missing: Draw taken from Pet wall

I left draws hanging on Rocket/Lost Highway finish at Pet wall on Saturday... went back there today and the top draw was missing. Pretty happy I noticed before heading up with nothin' on my harness. I'm hoping someone inadvertently grabbed it when lowering off burning down the couch or something.......

Re: TR Solo friendly areas

Hey Islander, The upper malamute might be a good choice, since you can start and finish at the top, makes it nice for TR soloing and usually isn't terribly crowded. By the sounds of what you're looking for, High Mountain Woody might be worthy of some lappage... nice and long too. Some of the less cr...

Re: what's the climbing like in nelson, BC?

i lived in nelson for 8 years or so, just moved to squamish fulltime this spring. there's a small but very tight and positive climbing scene there. generally speaking there's some really good climbing, but it's scattered around, not a tonne of it and not super concentrated. so it's not so bad for we...

Yup, we rapped the route (2 ropes req'd), quick, very simple since you just came up that way, all clean pulls.

Re: Habrich - Best Approach?

We did life on earth yesterday using the above approach beta, it was totally straightforward and took us about an hour and a half from the top of the gondola to the base of the route. Sidenote, wow we're lucky to have that alpine in our backyard... if you haven't done life on earth and it appeals to...

Nice, thanks Toby. Any rough estimates on time to Habrich from top of the Gondola? Couple hrs maybe?

Habrich - Best Approach?

Hey Y'all, Now that the gondola's in full swing, what's the best way to approach Habrich? Is it via the gondola and then Al's Habrich trail, or would one still be better off driving up the Shannon creek FSR and pushing a mountain bike? Or taking the Gondola and walking up another way? Jeremy Frimer ...

Re: new area at Murrin past Quercus

I climbed there last night. We found a pretty high concentration of 5.10 sport climbing, bolt spacing is tight for the shorter folks. Easiest way to find it is go to the Quercus cliff, turn left and follow the gully downward on a fresh trail for 5 minutes or so. There's a bunch of ropes hanging on w...

Re: Valley of Shaddai

Thanks, Steve. The thread you mentioned describes access to an area that must be pretty darn near the valley of shaddai, starting from the 'welcome to squamish' sign on the highway. I seem to recall reading on here some time ago about access to the Valley of Shaddai from Britannia Beach proper, and ...
