Sky Pilot E Face conditions

Has anyone seen the couloir approach to Sky Pilot E Face lately? Is there a big schrund or does it look passable?

Thanks

Re: Fluffy Kitten Wall... C'mon People!!!!

I've heard conflicting reviews of the road condition. How 2wd is it? Would you say you could easily get say a Honda Civic up there without spinning the tires? Or do you mean 2wd with some decent ground clearance? I went up Sky Pilot last week using a Hyundai Sonata. Clearance is not an issue. Unfor...

Re: Customisable Climbing Shoes

Here's an idea for something that doesn't currently exist in rock shoes. Perhaps the reader has experienced the same (cheap-minded) frustration. You go shopping for a new pair, and you know exactly what you liked and didn't like about the last pair. Therefore, you spend lots of time getting the bomb...

Re: Waddington Helicopter Share

Hi Pete-

Check out the bcmc.ca trip page. They're going up there on the 28th. You might hook up with a share through them.

Ronin's Corner - Right of MCM - grade?

Did the nice face climb to the right of MCM at Ronin's Corner today. Have you done it lately? What grade would you give it? In 2008, someone went up it and said 10b: http://squamishclimbing.com/squamish_climbing_bb/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1717&hilit=satellite Another post gave it the name Sammy's Frog a...

Squamish River high?

This is a little off-topic for this forum, but I figured Squamish locals would have a good answer. With all of the snow in the mountains this year, is the Squamish River looking high and/or dangerous lately? I'm planning on driving a small boat with a 5 or 10 hp motor up the river from Howe Sound, e...

Lost wedding ring

d'oh! Happened on August 10. I was standing a metre or two from the base of Neat and Cool (the 10a pitch). It fell out of the container that was holding it and disappeared. I didn't see it, but it sounded like it bounced into the cavernous cracks below the boulders I was standing on. It's yellow gol...

long shot: lost 'biner

I know this is perhaps more work than it's worth for one 'biner, but it was dropped off of Gonch Pull, p. 1, on the upper malamute. It was a black diamond neutrino (wire gate, anodized platinum-ish color) with orange on blue tape.

Every 'biner is sacred. Lemme know, eh? Thanks.

Free shades

I accidentally left 'em on top of the 10c pitch of the Buttress. Whoever found them--they're yours.

You can also have my #6 curve nut that my seconder couldn't get out of the pitch.

thanks for the info

My trip was a good time. We stayed in the backcountry for 7 days. On the way up, we crossed the cable, and it was only fun for about the first 5 minutes. Then it was just a lot of work. Also, we ran into a few folks who tried to cross by walking on the lower cable, and they had a significant amount ...

Cable crossing to Tantalus still ok?

Hi-

I'm aware that this isn't technically a Squamish climbing topic, but it's close.

I'm planning my first trip up to Lake Lovelywater in a few weeks and I wonder if it's still ok to be using the cable crossing. Any issues with the Squamish nation? Anybody been up there recently?

Thanks!

Seeking July 13 partner for Apron

Howdy-

I'm looking for a partner (or seconder) for a day on July 13th. Calculus Crack or Snake. I have the car, the rope, the rack, etc. I'm coming from Langley, so I can pick you up on the way.

Post a reply here with an email or other contact info and I'll take a look tomorrow (Saturday).
