Re: Sports climbing in Squamish

There is also some moderate sport climbing at Area 44, and its recent expansion, The Pillary.

The 2 spots are adjacent to each other and are situated between downtown Squamish and Cheakamus.

Re: The new Robin Barley guidebook.

The Vancouver MEC store has almost 10 copies.

There are with all the other climbing guidebooks off to the side of the climbing counter, facing the wall of ropes.

Theft at Area 44 on Sunday

One of my coworkers was climbing with a friend at Area 44 on Sunday. She brought all 12 of her quickdraws, but they only needed to use 10 for the climbs they were doing, so she left 2 draws attached to a sling in her pack, which she left on the ground. At the end of the day she went back to her pack...

None of your listed items are in the pack.

STOLEN GEAR FOUND - Hoping to find rightful owner

[cross-posted from the Lost & Found forum] I have been contacted by a person who had a large backpack full of stolen climbing gear dumped in their backyard some time around June/July. We are hoping that we could find the rightful owner(s). Here is the backpack: http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s23...

Re: New start to Calculus Crack

FINALLY got the chance to do it! I found the first few moves to be the crux, but it could be because I wasn't fully awake yet. This new start is so far superior to that bushwhack while swinging up trees! At last, Calculus Crack and St. Vitus' Dance have the start they deserve. But what happened to t...

Re: New Fixed Chain on Broadway

I just saw it today. It took me a few minutes to figure out what the heck itwas for. I second what Steven said. I dont' understand why someone would go through the trouble of buying it, carrying it up, and installing it when it is noticeably on the short side for what it is supposedly supposed to do...

Re: Squamish Rocks! climbing shirts available

I would love to get one but I am going to be out of town next week, thereby completely missing the Squamish Mountain Festival. :(

Is there any other way I can get a shirt (men's small, please)?
