You won't need a crowbar. Sorry I'm not around to help.

loose rock on skywalker
As you approach the second set of anchors after the 5.8 flume pitch there is a head sized rock that is completely loose, in the little gully next to the pillar you stand on at the belay. It would be great if someone could bring a backpack and put it in.. or make sure no-one is below and get rid of it.

what's the climbing like in nelson, BC?
We are thinking of making the move out to Nelson, BC from North Vancouver. It looks like there are a few scattered crags in the area, nothing like the bluffs and then the Valhallas and Bugaboos, nothing that's really easy weekend material. Any Nelson locals care to comment? What's life like for a cl...

Re: jungle warfare anchors
So climb past the first anchors and keep going until you get to the bit before the polished 5.8 and there is a staple bolt there?

jungle warfare anchors
climbing this route this weekend. apparently a tree was cut down at the end of guidebook pitch 1 (including the 5.8 corner). is there a bolted anchor there as per squamish select? any other anchor issues? also.. how difficult is the 5.8 "slippery" corner ending in the offwidth, similar to "the flume...

little cliff down the road from tunnel rock..
Spent an afternoon climbing the short routes on this recently scrubbed cliff. It's still very sandy and the crystals are ouchie.
Anyone know where the topo is? Interested in the grades, they seemed quite hard.

Re: multipitch recommendations
Thanks for the suggestions, I have done the Smoke Bluff Connection, albeit mostly on second. Snake - I think I'll wait a little while before getting to it. Butt face - I'm put off a little by the 5.9 pitch right now. Thanks for your lengthy suggestions bearbreeder, I've done Over the Rainbow on seco...

After some recommendations for a 5.8 leader, what I've led up until now: Banana Peel - wasn't a huge fan of the runouts Diedre - nice climb, final moves of the final pitch seemed a bit spicey.. slippery slab move to get up to the exit crack with no pro to be seen for a looong way Skywalker - great c...
