Re: Rock On - climbers urinating at belay stn
Sorry, that was Sean D. He not only pees a lot but has loose bowels, especially when he's on lead.
I'll remind him to only defile routes that aren't in the TOP 100. He should know better

Re: Is Squamish Soft?
Anyone here ever climbed Allegria? At 11b it seemed soft to me seeing that I'm pretty much a 5.8 climber  I think despite whether or not the grades are soft, Squamish rock has decent friction, has an abundance of finger to hand cracks, not a lot of polish and not much in the way of wide or flar...

Re: Rapping Down to Broadway Mud Swamp
You guys are pansies! If you regularly climb in Squamish your ropes get wet and muddy. How is that rap any different? Just part of the Squamish experience. Deal with it!
Next you guys will want bolts and fixed cable for the descent off Broadway...

Re: New Fixed Chain on Broadway
CHOP IT
The climbing experience on established routes in Squamish is sanitized enough with fixed anchors, modern gear, step-by-step topos and route beta, etc.
Like others have mentioned, if you're sketched passing that section on Broadway build an anchor.

Ya but according to Jim Bridwell My Best Vacation Is Your Worst Nightmare. So Europa may in fact be the thing to do if you want to aspire to be badass.JSmith wrote:Europa will be a nightmare

I would think either would be climbable if you don't mind some wet sections. UE is easier and will definitely have some water to deal with, but it will be climbable. I've only climbed AC when dry so can't say what it will be like given the recent rainfall. But IMO these two routes aren't really in t...

Well, I think Europa was an honest attempt at developing a moderate multi-pitch route not located on the Apron that a 5.9 climber could get on. As of 2008/2009 what else was there besides UE? The people who developed it didn't do it for notoriety. It seemed like a good idea so they went for it. In f...
