Camping Labor day weekend?

I'm a bit worried that the Chief campground is going to be full when we arrive Sunday (Sep. 6). Should I be? If it is full, what's a good alternative? The private campgrounds I have contacted either require a 3 day reservation for the long weekend or are full. Any beta would be appreciated.

The municipal campground next to the Brennan Park Rec Centre may be an option.
