Face the Music felt way hard for me, my climbing buddy thought it was 11c. A lot of people feel it's very soft. Beta is everything.

I had a hard time w/ LeFemme (some people say height helps, I didn't give it enough gos to agree or not), since then apparently holds have broken making it harder (I can't confirm).

FUBAR is good but bouldery... don't know if you were looking for that.

Well-spotted, no, I am not being totally consistent! But bouldery routes with the bouldery bit at the start are more appealing than ones with the bouldery bit higher up. The Crest routes particularly look good because I reckon I could get my wife to walk there to belay me without whinging too much! Sanctuary is less compelling on that criteria unfortunately.

I think almost every guy in a relationship feels your pain. :)

Was wandering around there this afternoon ... something to do in the rain. I thought Serendipity looked good; it's also a wife-friendly distance from the road - just about.

Serendipity hasn't been mentioned becaused it didn't fall in the areas specified by thesiger

Fair point. That reflects that I was on the other side of the world from my copy of Squamish Select when I began this thread. For 'Chek' in the OP please substitute 'Cheakamus Canyon'.

To me, Flight of the Challenger is by far the best 12c in the area. And yes trying out others require you to pump-out stamina as if you were a concrete pumper :D
